RAF Seeks New Trainer Planes

The UK Ministry Of Defence has officially begun the search for 40-50 basic trainers that will replace their existing Shorts Tucano T1’s. The new trainers will become a part of the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS).


X-47B UCAS - Unmanned Aircraft

X-47B UCAS (Unmanned Combat Air System) is a multi-mission, unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) which is designed to be launched from aircraft carriers allowing it to perform all sorts of intelligence, surveillance and even target strike missions.


IL-78s From Ukraine To Pakistan

Pakistan purchased four IL-78MP aerial refueling aircraft from the Ukraine to provide its fleet of Mirage III aircraft with in flight refueling abilities. Two of the four were successfully delivered on December 2nd, 2008 at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.


Mi-35s Donated To Afghanistan

The Czech government donated three Mi-35 attack helicopters to the Afghan National Army Air Corps on December 1st, 2008. The helicopters were successfully delivered at Kabul International Airport aboard a chartered AN-124 transport.


YAL-1A ABL Laser Fired

The airborne laser program is currently being developed by Boeing Missile Defense Systems, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman and has recently reached some major steps forward by firing it’s high energy laser for the first time.
